Shingle Terms of Use

Effective date: October 18, 2026. These terms cover Shingle: The Seller Assist App (the web app at get5krealty.com/shingle/app/) and the Shingle page (get5krealty.com/shingle/). By using Shingle, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use Shingle. Our privacy policy explains how Shingle handles your information.

Ownership

The code, design, text and graphics of Shingle: The Seller Assist App belong to Ingold Group Properties, LLC dba 5K Realty and are protected by copyright law. The Shingle: The Seller Assist App name and logo are used by Ingold Group Properties, LLC dba 5K Realty. Third-party materials in Shingle, such as its open source fonts and code libraries and the Equal Housing Opportunity logo, belong to their owners and are used under their own terms.

Your license to use Shingle

We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use Shingle to sell your own home. You may not:

copy, modify, redistribute, resell, or sublicense Shingle;
frame Shingle, or scrape or crawl it;
reverse-engineer Shingle; or
use Shingle to build a competing product.

Your data stays yours. Shingle saves what you enter in your browser's local storage on your device, and we don't receive it. Shingle sends information off your device only when you confirm your phone number with a code, when you accept the disclaimer (5K Realty keeps a record of your acknowledgement and you get a copy), and when you send the "Talk to 5K Realty" form. You can save your own backup file with Export backup, and delete everything on your device with Start over in Settings.

Not legal, tax or real estate advice

Shingle gives you educational information. It is not legal, tax, or real estate advice.
Shingle is not representation or brokerage services from 5K Realty. Using Shingle does not create an agency relationship with 5K Realty.
You are responsible for following North Carolina, South Carolina, and federal law when you sell your home.
Shingle recommends having a real estate attorney handle all legal matters, including your contract and closing.
5K Realty (Ingold Group Properties, LLC) is a licensed real estate brokerage. "Want us to handle it?" is optional. You can use all of Shingle without hiring 5K Realty.

Text message codes (SMS)

Before you sign the disclaimer, Shingle asks you to confirm your phone number with a one-time code. By entering your phone number and tapping Send code, you agree to receive a one-time security code by text message at that number. Our text-message provider sends and checks the code for us. A short security check runs in your browser first to stop automated abuse.

One-time security code only. We send only the codes you ask for: one text, one resend, and then one call if you tap Call me instead. No marketing, no other messages.
US numbers only.
Message and data rates may apply.
Help. Reply HELP to the number from which you received the message, or email [email protected].
Stop. To stop receiving messages, reply STOP at any time.
Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No warranty

Shingle is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise that Shingle will be free of errors, always available, or that anything it shows is right for your sale. You use Shingle at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Ingold Group Properties, LLC dba 5K Realty and its owners and employees are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or losses on your sale, that come from your use of Shingle. In any case, our total liability to you for any claim about Shingle is limited to $100.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. If you keep using Shingle after a change, you accept the updated terms.
